ACR+ joined on 29 June in Brussels a Study Tour on Plastics and the Circular Economy, organised by the EU Delegation to the U.S. in Washington D.C. The aim of the meeting was to build a long-term alignment between the EU and the US circular economy policies; to exchange best practices on policy tools and the politics involved in fighting plastic waste and its global impacts on health, the environment and the climate; to demonstrate progress in Europe across the different sectors and levels of government involved in the plastics value chain, from design to disposal; and to promote global approaches to the circular economy and fighting plastic pollution. Jointly with ACR+ members Brussels EnvironmentEastern Midlands Waste RegionFlanders and City of Dublin, ACR+ participated in the discussion of the implementation of circular economy on the regional level, and its potential for jobs, growth and innovation.
