ACR+ joins CISAF Circularity Coalition

ACR+ has joined a broad coalition of circular economy organisations, businesses, and NGOs from across Europe to urge the European Commission to explicitly include circularity in the forthcoming Clean Industrial State Aid Framework (CISAF). In a joint statement addressed to Commissioners Ribera and Séjourné, the signatories highlight a major gap in the draft framework, which fails to provide financial support for circular measures despite circularity being one of the four pillars of the Clean Industrial Deal.

The CISAF Circularity coalition argues that without dedicated provisions, the EU risks missing its goal of increasing material circularity to 24% by 2030. Circularity plays a critical role in reducing carbon emissions, cutting production costs, and boosting resource resilience, central to achieving a competitive, low-carbon European industry. ACR+ and its partners advocate for enabling state aid to support infrastructure and innovation that keep materials in use longer, reduce strategic dependencies, and support the EU’s industrial decarbonisation objectives.
