Circular workspaces for a sustainable future

The C-PRONE Knowledge Hub brings together innovative projects and initiatives that show how procurement can accelerate the transition to a circular economy. One of these is the Circular Economy Office (CEO) project, which focuses on creating circular office interiors across the North Sea region.

 

Every year, up to 90 per cent of office furniture in the EU is discarded through landfill or incineration. CEO aims to change this by promoting modular, adaptable and reusable design that extends product lifecycles and reduces waste. Through seven pilot initiatives, the project engages public and private stakeholders to test practical, scalable and replicable circular solutions.

 

By linking design, policy and procurement, this project demonstrates how circular approaches can deliver both environmental and economic benefits, while creating models that can be replicated in schools, hospitals and homes.
