ACR+ members renew their commitment to accelerate the transition to a collaborative circular economy

ACR+ members from across Europe gathered in Leeuwarden on 11 June for their annual General Assembly, hosted by ACR+ member Provincie Fryslân and held alongside the Circular Summit Fryslân 2025. The event offered a vibrant platform for exchanging ideas and best practices on advancing the circular economy at regional and local levels. Participants explored real-world initiatives in Fryslân through field visits highlighting efforts in water innovation, circular construction, and inclusive education, all contributing to a regenerative society. 

 

ACR+ members reaffirmed their dedication to sustainable resource use, aligning on priorities for the upcoming EU Circular Economy Act, including EPR schemes and circular procurement. These themes were also debated in parallel sessions of the Summit, where participants critically examined current consumption models and proposed ways to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable future.
