ARC | New grants to boost organic and industrial waste management in Catalonia

The Catalan Waste Agency (ARC) has opened a 2025 grant call to support the purchase of vehicles for organic waste collection, under the EU-funded Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. With a maximum budget of EUR 4.5 million, the grants target municipalities or entities with efficient organic waste collection systems covering at least 50% of their population. Funding covers up to 90% of vehicle costs, with maximums of EUR 200 000 for zero-emission vehicles and EUR 150 000 for low-emission ones.  

Additionally, ARC has launched a call for grants aimed at improving industrial waste management in Catalonia. With an initial budget of EUR 2 million, the program supports projects that promote waste prevention, reuse, recycling, and the integration of recycled materials, as well as R&D in third-party waste treatment facilities.
