ARC | The 080 Reborn fashion show 2023 highlights the reuse of denim

The 080 Reborn fashion show, supported by ACR+ member Catalan Waste Agency (ARC), marked the starting signal for the 32nd edition of 080 Barcelona Fashion, which was held from 24 to 27 October. 080 Reborn showcased a collection centered around denim, using garments and fabrics from waste management and second-hand stores. This initiative is part of the Catalan Pact for Circular Fashion, a voluntary agreement aimed at transforming the textile industry into a circular model. The goals include increasing product durability, incorporating a higher percentage of recycled materials in fabrics, reducing the use of harmful substances, promoting reuse through new business models, and implementing cleaner and more efficient production methods.
