Free online training on energy and climate transition planning

Take part in the free SPARKLE online training “Planning the Energy and Climate Transition for Cities”. This training is designed to help local authorities and stakeholders align energy transition, climate resilience, and circular economy goals with actionable planning strategies. Through a three-course learning journey, participants will gain access to practical tools and real-world examples, ensuring both inspiration and impact. Courses will be available in six languages (French, Portuguese, Italian, Spanish, Croatian, and Lithuanian) making the content widely accessible. 

As part of the educational team, ACR+ is directly involved in the course “Integrated Energy and Climate Transition Planning”. This five-module programme offers practical, interactive guidance on embedding energy and climate priorities into spatial planning, leveraging data and cross-sector collaboration, and designing robust integrated plans tailored to local needs. Participants will learn how to incorporate renewable energy and efficiency measures, address climate risks such as floods and heatwaves, embed circular economy principles, and manage the entire integrated planning process from start to finish.
