CITEO | Circular Challenge 2024 accelerates high impact projects

ACR+ member CITEO has announced the 5 winning startups of the Circular Challenge Citeo 2024, which offer practical solutions to the challenges of reduction, reuse, and recycling. The Circular Challenge Citeo is a program designed to accelerate high-impact projects promoting the circular economy for packaging and paper. 

One of the startups is developing an artificial intelligence-based waste recognition system. The goal is to accurately identify the materials and composition of waste to enhance capture rates in sorting centers and improve recycling. Another startup supports manufacturers in the food industry in their transition to reusable packaging by providing advice and operational solutions for collection and washing. A third selected startup offers a home delivery service for daily groceries (food and hygiene products) delivered in returnable and reusable packaging.
