City of Warsaw | Zero waste Saturdays at the city markets

Warsaw invites residents to join the “Warsaw Markets Don’t Waste” series, promoting food waste prevention, responsible consumption, and proper waste management. Starting 30 August, events will take place over eight consecutive Saturdays at selected markets, transforming them into spaces for cooking, learning, and sharing sustainable practices. The program includes culinary workshops led by environmental educator, teaching creative recipes with food often at risk of being wasted, and eco-events focusing on waste sorting, reusable packaging, and resource sharing. Activities include hands-on workshops, games, and contests for all ages.
