FOODRUS | Exploring food waste prevention and reduction with the e-Learning Platform

The FOODRUS Virtual Library offers an overview of some of the products produced by the FOODRUS project partners. Among these, the FOODRUS e-Learning Platform offers 8 thematic modules on the prevention and reduction of food waste. The modules touch upon different topics, from food waste definitions to certification systems, from last mile logistic networks to Food Living Labs. The modules also provide toolkits for sustainable consumption and learning material on financial instruments to help reduce food waste. A special module (Module 7) has been dedicated to food waste prevention programs in schools, with a workbook for elementary school pupils. Finally, a tool for household has been designed in Module 8 where a digital cookbook with tasty receipts to prevent bread waste is available online and for download.

Developed for different users (households, schools, municipalities, businesses), the modules are freely available on the Foodrus e-learning platform.
