Open call to support seven regions in the fight against nutrient pollution

SEACURE is launching its Open Call for Associated Regions, opening on 1 December 2025, inviting seven regions to join its mission toward nutrient pollution-free waters and soils. The initiative will provide financial and technical support to territories affected by eutrophication, helping them improve the management of Nitrogen (N) and Phosphorus (P) cycles and reduce nutrient pollution for cleaner water bodies and healthier soils. By building on the knowledge, tools and systemic solutions developed within the project, selected public authorities will be equipped to strengthen their environmental management capacities.

Throughout an 18-month support programme, participating regions will benefit from SEACURE’s expertise to plan and evaluate nutrient management interventions, engage local stakeholders, develop public policies and strategic plans, and activate mechanisms that enable long-term scaling. SEACURE calls on public authorities involved in land or water management to take part in this collective effort and apply for the support they need to address nutrient pollution. Upcoming webinars will guide applicants through the process.
