Zero Waste Scotland | Empowering local action: a place-based approach to circular transformation

13 February 2024 Members' News

Discover the pivotal role of cities, regions, and local communities in translating national circular economy ambitions in tangible action at the accelerator session of the World Circular Economy Forum organised by Zero Waste Scotland on 17 April 2024. Despite innovation and creativity in this domain, structural challenges persist – financial constraints, lack of enabling policy/regulation, capacity and technical knowledge gaps, and siloed governance structures hinder the full potential of local ambitions.

In this interactive workshop, gain insights from global pioneers driving circularity from the grassroots. Engage in dynamic discussions, as we leverage the collective expertise of the forum community to co-create transferable solutions. If you would like to join Zero Waste Scotland for this session, please contact hedda.roberts@zerowastescotland.org.uk.
