ACR+ member Reloop, in partnership with Zero Waste Europe and the European Committee of the Regions, hosted a conference on 21 March 2023 titled, "Mixed Waste Sorting: The next frontier for the circular economy". Representatives from the European Commission, European Parliament, Member States, and key members of the value chain, including the plastics and metals sectors, shared their expertise on the introduction of Mixed Waste Sorting as an additional tool for the recovery and recirculation of Europe’s valuable resources. The participants discussed how Mixed Waste Sorting can contribute to increasing circularity and reducing reliance on virgin inputs.
