AMIU | Recognition Genoa’s transition to a circular economy

Genoa was included in the Circular Cities Declaration Report 2022 as a successful example of circular economy actions. In particular, the PlastiPremia project, conducted by ACR+ member AMIU, was praised to incentivise differentiated collection of plastics and promoting reuse centres. In 2022, thanks to PlastiPremia, 9.3 million plastic bottles and jars were collected, around 279 tonnes of material, as well as 60 000 pieces for around 2 tonnes from the beverage and food cartons.
