Lisbon | Traveling exhibition promotes urban cleanliness and sustainability

The traveling exhibition Lisboa Limpa (Clean Lisbon) is taking place across several Lisbon parishes in June and July, aiming to raise awareness and promote responsible behavior in urban waste management. Through playful and educational experiences, the initiative encourages sustainable habits and offers residents the chance to learn more about the daily efforts of Urban Hygiene professionals. 

At the heart of the experience is an immersive augmented reality simulation, where participants use interactive glasses to engage in a virtual urban cleaning shift. The goal is to foster better waste practices, reduce improper disposal, and strengthen collective commitment to a cleaner, more sustainable city. Urban Hygiene is a key priority for the Lisbon City Council, which has increased its budget by 65% this year.
