Calling anyone with an interest in FOOD LOSS

Curious about the difference between food loss and food waste, or how to reduce food loss on your farm? In the face of major sustainability challenges, tackling food loss in primary production is more important than ever. FOLOU project has launched a free online course, Understanding Food Loss, designed for farmers, researchers, policymakers, NGOs and anyone interested in sustainable food systems. The course explores the environmental, economic, and social impacts of food loss and offers practical tools to measure and manage it effectively.

Available on FutureLearn, the course takes around four hours over two weeks and features videos, articles, interviews, and quizzes. You'll learn to define food loss, understand its role in the broader food system, identify key stakeholders, and explore measurement tools. A free certificate, accredited by EIT Food, is available upon passing the final assessment. To join, simply create a FutureLearn account here: https://www.futurelearn.com/courses/understanding-food-loss. You can delete your account after finishing the course if you wish.
