Digital hub and webinar series to accelerate Europe's transition to healthy soils by 2030

The SOILL-Startup project has launched the SOILL Hub – a collaborative digital platform designed to accelerate Europe's transition to healthy soils by 2030, supporting the EU Mission “A Soil Deal for Europe” and its network of Living Labs.

As part of the EU Soil Strategy, this Mission aims to establish 100 Living Labs and Lighthouses across Europe, involving over 1,000 test sites spanning agriculture, forestry, industry, urban, and natural land. Living Labs are real-world environments for co-developing soil solutions, while Lighthouses showcase best practices in soil health. Crucial as more than 60% of Europe’s soils are degraded.

Accessible at www.soill2030.app, the SOILL Hub connects researchers, policymakers, land managers, industry, and civil society to foster collaboration, share knowledge, and drive innovation. Key features include:

  • A dynamic newsfeed for updates and events

  • A knowledge repository with tools and resources

  • An interactive map of Living Labs

  • A Helpdesk for user support

In June 2025, SOILL hosted a three-part webinar series to help applicants navigate the Mission Soil funding calls for 2025. Recordings are available for the following sessions:
