Joint exploration of integrated approaches to circularity

As part of the INERTWASTE project, ACR+ members Région Sud (France) and Navarre (Spain) held a bilateral meeting facilitated by ACR+ to exchange on circular economy practices with strong transfer potential. Discussions focused on Navarre’s Navarra Zirkular, a public-private initiative that supports companies in their circular transition through personalised guidance, cross-departmental coordination, and free training sessions. Région Sud expressed particular interest in adapting this model to its construction sector to foster reuse, recycling, and innovation.
The meeting also explored Navarra Zirkular’s governance structure, funding mechanisms, and collaborative approach, identifying synergies despite challenges such as data confidentiality and sector-specific barriers. Navarre shared diagnostic tools and company support examples, while both regions expressed their commitment to continue cooperating and use this exchange to inform future circular economy policies and roadmaps under the INERTWASTE project.
