ACR+ accredited as stakeholder organisation with UN-Habitat
ACR+ has been accredited as a stakeholder organisation with UN-Habitat, allowing it to take part in the deliberations of the UN-Habitat Assembly and its intersessional bodies, including the Executive Board and Committee of Permanent Representatives. This recognition enables ACR+ to participate as an observer, contributing its expertise in sustainable resource management and local governance to global dialogues on housing, human settlements, and sustainable urban development.
The third Open-ended Committee of Permanent Representatives (OECPR) and the resumed second session of the United Nations Habitat Assembly will take place in Nairobi, Kenya. The OECPR will meet from 26 to 28 May to conduct a mid-term review and prepare the draft outcomes of the Assembly. This high-level gathering aims to assess the progress of the New Urban Agenda, review resolutions adopted by the Assembly, and consider preparations for the upcoming World Urban Forum. The resumed session of the UN-Habitat Assembly, held from 29 to 30 May, will convene Member States to adopt the 2026–2029 strategic plan for UN-Habitat and vote on key matters such as the stakeholder engagement policy and international guidelines on people-centred smart cities.
