ACR+ engages with European partners at the 4th Roundtable of the Working Group on Sufficiency

On 23 September, ACR+ participated in the 4th Roundtable of the year of the EU Working Group on sufficiency. These meetings bring together European NGOs and networks such as ACR+, EEB, CAN Europe, Energy cities, Aqua publica Europea and others to exchange updates on EU initiatives and discuss how to embed sufficiency principles across different sectors, including energy, water, raw materials, and buildings.

On this occasion, participants presented their ongoing initiatives and how they are integrating sufficiency into their work. Among the most relevant policy files discussed are the Governance Regulation, the Affordable Housing Plan, and the Water Resilience Strategy. Participants also discussed on-going EU consultations, in particular the EU Climate Risk Adaptation Initiative and the Circular Economy Act.

ACR+ shared insights from its draft contribution to the Circular Economy Act, which is currently under preparation. The group will meet again before the end of the year to continue exchanging knowledge and identifying potential synergies and opportunities for collaboration.
